DEPARTMENT PROFILE
The two B.Vocational courses –
Dairying & Animal husbandry |
Agriculture |
were sanctioned by the University grants commission (UGC) in September 2020 under National skills qualifications framework(NSQF). Out of all theNSQF courses announced by the UGC, the management got sanctioned these two courses keeping in view of the prominence of Agriculture and allied sectors in erstwhile Visakhapatnam and other surrounding districts. Majority of the population is dependent on Agriculture, Animal husbandry and other allied activities.
The demand for these two courses is quite adequate in this area, as there is sufficient dearth of professionals qualified in Agriculture and Animal husbandry. These two courses are designed as per the guidelines issued by UGC-National skills qualification frame work. Students who pursued these two courses will have ample Job opportunities in both Government and private sectors.
The duration of these two courses is 3yrs(6 Semesters with 180 credits). The online admission process, academic calendar and course curriculum is on par with regular degree courses.
The first batch students were admitted in 2020-21 academicyear and subsequent batches in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
These two courses are being handled by respective professionals with good experience in teaching and other extension activities related to the profession.
