Anakapalle merchants' association started A.M.A.L.College for the benefit of local and surrounding rural area students to promote education on 22-6-1953. Department of Telugu was also opened in the college with two teaching staff members. Sri Mokkapati Subbarayudu garu joined as lecturer in the department in 1953 and Sri Valayya panthulu garu joined as tutor. The college was recognized as first Grade College in 1956 and special Telugu was also introduced for B.A. courses besides Telugu as second language in degree. Gradually the strength of the students and the strength of teaching faculty reached to eight in the department of Telugu.

Sri M. Subba Rayyudu 16-6-1953 to June 1985.
He joined as Lecturer in the Department in 1953 he rose to the position of Vice Principal in 1958 and also worked as principal from 1976-1985.
Sri Valayya Panthulu 18-8-1953.
He joined as tutor in the department in 1953 and promoted as special tutor in 1954. He was a great scholar in Sanskrit and Telugu.
Sri Vasa Subrahmanya Sastry 1-8-1955 to 1983
He joined in the department in 1955. Rose the position of the Dead of the Department in 1976. Author of Sarada Vyasamulu (Literary Lessons). His book sarada vyasmulu was prescribed as text book for P.G. Telugu students in Banglore University.
Sri J. Krishna Murthy 1-11-55
He joined in the Department in 1955 and he worked very few years and left the institution to join in a higher posts.
Sri T.V. Subha Rao 4-7-1957 to 1992
He joined in the Telugu Department of A.M.A.L.College 1957 and worked as head of the department from 1984 onwards until his retirement i.e.,1992.
Smt. P.V. Andalamma 10-7-1957
She joined in the Department of Telugu in 1957. Board of Studies Chairman as U.G. courses for three years in Andhra University.
Smt. M. Lalitha Kumari 8-8-1966 to 31-12-1997
She joined in the department as tutor in 1966 and promoted as lecturer in 1976. She extended her services as examiner and chief examiner to the degree level exams of Andhra University.
Sri K. Guru Natha Sarma 11-11-1963 to 30-11-1998
He joined as tutor in the department of Telugu in 1963 and promoted as lecturer in 1976. He worked as the head of the department since 1992 and retired in 1998.
Smt. V. Lakshmi 21-1-1981 to 31-3-1999.
She joined in the department in january 1981 as lecturer, she worked for 18 years and retired in March 1999.
Smt. Dr.V.Sita Lakshmi 21-1-1981 to 31-5-2002
She joined as tutor in the department of Telugu in 1976 and she promoted as lecturer in 1976. She promoted as reader in 1999 and worked as Board of studies member for 3 years in Andhra University for Telugu.
Sri K. Kota Rao 20-10-1990 to 31-7-2004
Previously he worked in S.P.S.S.R. Oriental degree college Podagatlapalli East Godavari District from 73 October. Later he joined in the department in October 1990. He served the Association Andhra Padya Kavita Sadassu in various capacities like President, Secretary etc.
Dr. Koti Suryanarayana Murthy 6-9-1994 to 17-1-2002
Joined in the department in july 1994 as lecturer. He published two books on Telugu Literature i.e. "Viswanatha Kalpa Vruksha Ramaneeya kata" and "Grama Devatalu".
Dr. R.R. Satyanarayana Jan 1981 to 2012
He joined in service as Telugu Pandit in A.M.A.A. English Medium High School and worked for three years (1977-1980). Later he joined as Telugu Lecturer in this college in January 1981. He is recipient of the A.P. State Best Teacher Award in the year 2002.
Dr.D.V.G.A.Somayajulu April 1995 to 2010
Worked as lecturer in S.P.S.S.R. oriental Degree College Podagatlapalle, East Godavari District from September 1974 to February 1995 and joined in the department on 10-2-1995 un retired in 2010.
Dr T.Prithvi Raj 19-06-2000.
Soon after he received his Ph.D. in 2000, he secured job in A.M.A.L. College- Anakapalli as a Telugu Lecturer in June 2000. He participated in many National & State level seminars and presented papers on Telugu Literature.
Dr.Talathoti Prtihvi Raj has a special name and fame, in modern literary trends in Telugu poetry. Haiku are new type of poetic expressions, which conveys, bundle of meaning and thoughts with limited, words. The economy of using words in making the poetry a great significant is the characteristic for which Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj is remembered forever. Haiku indeed has become his surname. He loved, followed and disseminated haiku in the hearts of Telugu people. Not being content of his literary pleasure and thrust, he founded Indian Haiku Club, a literary and cultural organization and published number of books on Haiku. He started monthly magazine on Haiku.
Dr.Talathoti Prithvi Raj also established and founded a Athreya Sahithee Sravanthi in the name of great script writer, and lyricist Acharya Athreya. Every year Prithvi Raj conducts Athreya Vardhanthi and Jayanthi programmes and on such occasions he arranges Athreya Puraskar Awards. So for, cine lyricists Sri Gurucharan, Jaladi were the eminent persons received the Sahithee Puraskar.
The main purpose of establishing Indian Haiku Club is to honor the eminent persons in the field of literature and to encourage the youngsters who are upcoming in the Literary field. Haiku Award and Naanee awards, Prof. Rokkam Radhakrishna Sahithee Puraskaram, Prof. J.M. Naidu Sahithee Puraskaram, Ugadi Sahithee Puraskaram, Sankranthi Sahithee Puraskaram are some of the awards established in the name of great personalities and the awards would be presented to deserving candidates. Sri K.Sivareddy, Dr.N.Gopi is the great who personalities were honored with KAVITHA PRAPOORNA title by the Haiku Club. Folk lyricist Sri Jaladi, was honored with JANAPADA SIROMANI title.
P. Venkata Satya Jyothi (UN Aided) 2012- till today
She was joined in service as Lecturer in Telugu (Pundit) and worked for ten years (from 02-07-2012 to till the date). She was completed M.Com., M.A. Telugu in Andhra University and pursuing M.A. Sanskrit in Osmania University. She is creative teaching and open minded attitude in Innovating teaching methods introducing lessons like a own experiences related to story to make the students interested. Area of specialization (Journalism). She conducts Study projects, Group Discussions, Question & Answer Sessions, Personal Counseling, Guidance of Students to Quiz Sessions and Improvement of Students Personality Development. She is participation in Community Service project, valuation of Andhra University and Autonomous Degree Colleges paper settings also.

She was joined in service as lecturer in Telugu 2013 and worked up to 2016. She was completed M.A. telugu in Andhra University.

She was joined in service as lecturer in Telugu 2013 and worked up to 2015.
D. Aravind Ghosh (UN Aided) 2018-2021
He was joinedin the department in 2018 and worked as Lecturer up to 2021. Hewas completed M.A. (Telugu, English & Sanskrit). He is interacted to students very friendly.
S. Rajani Kumari (UN Aided) 2018 to today.
She was joined in 2018 as Lecturer in Sanskrit. She was completed (P.G.) M.A. in 2015 at Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad (A.P.). She Know’s Oriya, Bengali, Hindi, etc. Regional languages. Her teaching methodology B on Bharatiya Samskriti. She doing Paper Valuation of various Autonomous Colleges.
P.Eswari(UN Aided) 2021 – till today
She wasjoined in the department in 2021. She was completed M.Phil. in 2008 on “Avasarala Rama Krishna Rao Kathalu”. Her teaching methodology apply to current, public issues and related to historical movements of culture and students role for better society. She is doing paper valuation of different Autonomous Colleges.
