Excel beyond the class room: A.M.A.L.COLLEGE remarkable journey in sports, Games, NCC and social service

A.M.A.L. College had its humble beginning in 1953 by the philanthropic vision of Anakapalle Marchant’s Association with a noble objective to cater the educational needs of poorest of the poor in the society. College has witnessed significant changes in academic, administrative and infrastructural changes and modifications over the past seven decades. At present college is functioning from 32 acres of land with spacious class rooms, well established science labs, sophisticated computer centre with latest ICT facilities, excellent library with large collection of books and volumes, vast play ground with 400 mts running track (8lanes), Obstacle Training (OT) Course is introduced the campus to meet the challenges at Army, Navy and Police Department job selections and make the students well trained and also two basket ball courts and other facilities in games and sports well equipped Gymnasium and separate attached hostel facility for boys and girls. Responding to the demands of rural Agricultural families, new Vocational Courses in Agriculture and Dairying and Animal Husbandry sanctioned by UGC were introduced. This facilitates the rural students of Anakapalle district not only to secure jobs but also to emerge as entrepreneurs in Agriculture and Dairying and Animal Husbandry sectors. This is first of its kind in Andhra University Affiliated colleges. These courses are serve as alternatives for Agriculture B.Sc. and B.V.Sc. Courses. College is doing its level best in the interest of students with the motto ‘Student First’ since inception. Institution is striving hard not only in academic excellence of the students but also for over all holistic development of the students to make them socially responsible citizens. Students are motivated to participate with great enthusiasm in the community social service programs, physical fitness and mental wellness programs, Blood donation camps, Red Ribbon club (RRC) activities, NCC activities, Sports and Games competitions organized by the institution and Andhra University, Swacha Bharath and voluntary services during emergencies like Covid – 19 pandemic.

As a result of continuous efforts by the Management and self motivated faculty members with a great commitment, A.M.A.L.College has emerged not just as an educational institution but as a hub for fostering all rounded individuals with a passion for sports, games, social service and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

This college provides a supportive learning environment that develops intellectual growth, critical thinking and personality development. The college offers career counseling, Internships and other opportunities to gain practical experience in their chosen fields.
