Anti-Ragging Committee should be one of the important parts of the Educational institution’s mechanism. As per the guidelines of the Act of 1956, which is modified as UGC regulations, on curbing the menace of ragging in higher Educational Institutions, 2009, establishment of Anti-Ragging Committee is compulsory.

Objectives :

The Policy prohibits,

• Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.

• Indulging in rowdy or indisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or physiological harm

• Raising fear or apprehension thereof in any fresher or any other student.

• Asking any student to do any act which such student will not in the ordinary course do and which has the effect of causing or generating a scene of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the fresher

• Any student, with or without intent to derive a sadistic pleasure or showing off power, exercising authority or superiority over any fresher or any other student.

• Resolved to conduct awareness Programme to all the students on the ill effects of ragging

• Resolved to conduct awareness programme to all the girl students with zero tolerance on eve teasing and Sexual Harasment.

• Resolved to conduct surprise cheeks by the staff members on the campus.

• Resolved to conduct awareness programme on submission of grievances.

• Resolved to display anti ragging slogans at prominent places
